Newport, is a city in California. Originally called Sandport it was abandoned at the end of the first world war when the multinational airport was built in Los Angeles. The only part of the city that kept its population was the port. In the 21st century people starting to move back to he city, renamint it Newport, it become a hotspot for new money and celebrities. Newport is divided into a several districts. The port has become the slums, where old families crowd together, and the occasional anarchist uprising is shortly put down. There are a few rusted old ships, and only one or two working docks among several abandoned ones. Next comes Newtown. The place where the rich and famous are moving to. Its entirely made up of new architecture of glass and steel. Throbbing nightclubs and movie studios give it an almost hollywoodesque feel. The Central Business District remains the only neutral territory in the city and surrounds the huge central park. Towards the south of the city is the residential district, and far to the east is the Oldtown. Massive mansions, long since abandoned, still give the area an air of mystery that keeps away the homeless and the adventurous. To the north of old town is the old abandoned airport. Seen as advanced for its time it was unfortunately bombed out of use. Instead of rebuilding it the government put the money towards Los Angeles and built an even more modern airport.
